DFO releases the Integrated Geoduck Management Framework.

The Framework provides policy guidance for the integrated management of both wild and aquaculture geoduck fisheries in B.C.

First Nations interested in developing geoduck aquaculture continue to contact the AAA office seeking updates on the Integrated Geoduck Management Framework.  Discussions with several government agency representatives continues on a regular basis to ensure all First Nations queries are answered.

The AAA has communicated the need for a geoduck management framework that addresses the rights of First Nations and provides an opportunity for First Nations to be take part in the industry.
